Apple Sauce

Apple Sauce is one of my favourites, easy to make, healthy and very practical. Popular abroad. If the apples in my fridge are starting to soften up I make apple sauce out of them. You can have apple sauce on breakfast instead of jam, you can use it to sweeten your cakes and cookies. They especially go great wih macaroon cookies children love so much. It also goes well with milk cream.
Ingredients:
3-4 apples (or more – peeled and finely grated)
Cinnamon
1-2 tblspns honey (optional – I don’t use)
Instructions:
Blend apples and cinnamon and simmer until they soften up. Add some drinking water if necessary. Pulse in a food processor and make a nice puree out of it. Pour in a glass jar and keep in the fridge – consume within a week.
