Meatza a la Bade

Meatza is a very popular dish for Paleo Diet followers. Basically it replaces pizza dough with ground meat. So – I thought I should try it as well. I really like how the high carb pizza dough is replaced by meat. Of course, as an avid meat lover, I would prefer it over anything.  As for Bade, she never really liked pizza before her diagnosis, I remember forcing her to eat, but now that she has been diagnosed, of course she wants it! I am proud to say that as one of her favourite food is leek (I know, very few mothers can actually say that), I tried topping the meatza with it and turns out it was a great idea. Leek’s unique taste went great with the cheese on top and the tomato sauce. Bade absolutely loved this dish!
Ingredients :
For the meat dough:
– 300 gr ground meat
– 1 small shredded onion
– 1 egg yolk
– 1 tspn Himalayan salt
– spices of your preference (I used 2 small pinches of black pepper and sweet red pepper)
For the topping
– 1/2 cup of homamade tomato sauce
– 1 chopped leek
– 1 cup of shredded cheese of your preference (I’ve used goat cheese)
– 2 sliced organic cherry tomatoes
Instructions:
Mix all meat dough ingredients  and knead for 5 minutes. Spead the dough on a greased/parchment paper covered round pan. Put the pan in a 200C preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes. Take the pan out, pour the tomato sauce on top, add the leeks, tomatoes and the cheese and put back in the oven. Remove when the top turns golden brown. The recipe is for max 2 people only.
